PARENTS
Every family day care will have a different personality, however we ensure reoccurring characteristics in all our child care homes that include:
- An inclusive environment where all children will feel welcomed and joyous.
- A stable and clean atmosphere with safe equipment for both indoor and outdoor.
- Diversity of toys and equipment to meet the age and stage of the child’s growth.
- Properly fitted furniture and equipment suitable for young children.
- Specific areas for quiet and group play.
- A particular place where children can place their belongings with easy access.
- All educators with Little steps FDC must have a Police Criminal Check, working with children check, First Aid, Anaphylaxis training and Asthma Management.
- Excellent care in a home based environment.
- In-service training is provided carers with professional development
- Co-ordinating unit monitor and support educators on a regular basis
- Age appropriate programs developed for all children at different learning levels.
- A proud member of National Family Day Care Council Australia.
- Carers might have up to 4 children under school age and 3 school aged children with a maximum of 7 children at any one time or 7 school aged children any one time.

The Coordination Unit also acts as administration support assisting with placement of children with carers, Child Care Benefit, enrolments and supporting families.
FEES AND CHARGES
Fees and charges for little steps childcare differ depending on factors such as;
- Hourly rates charged for typical and untypical hours.
- Minimum booking times and contracted hours are often agreed upon.
- Cost of any meals and or transport.
- Please enquire at the office for fees charged.
- Hourly rates charged for weekends and public holidays.
- Government subsidies such as child care benefit if applicable.
